Job Title : Field Sampler
Wage : $16 – 18 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule : 7AM – 3PM, Monday to Friday (Flexible)

team as a Field Sampler specializing in water sampling and purification.

Field Sampler to support our efforts in maintaining the highest standards of water quality and safety.
Responsibilities :
- The candidate will be trained in how to do on-site readings (i.e. chlorine, temperature, and pH
readings) and collect water samples to be sent to a lab for testing
- The job often requires a great deal of walking around client sites, may include climbing stairs or
ladders, and well pits
- Customer communication, bottle drop off, and sample pick up
- Pack and deliver or ship samples to appropriate laboratory
- Flush hydrants for the purpose of collecting samples
- Well operation for the purpose of collecting samples
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Minimum requirement: Must possess a valid Maryland/Pennsylvania driver’s license at the class level required to
operate fleet equipment associated with the job, as well as a safe driving record and the ability to pass
a motor vehicle check
- A valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record for at least the past two years are required
- Ability to pass a drug screening & amp; background check
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs
- Self-motivation and the capacity to work independently
- Excellent communication abilities and basic computer skills
- Strong work ethic, time management, and ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner are
a must
- Basic understanding of general chemistry and laboratory techniques and ability to read and follow
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- General knowledge of water regulatory requirements or ability to learn such concepts
- Ability to learn and use computer programs, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office 360 and
database software
- Physical capability to perform manual labor in all types of weather
- Reliable, responsible, organized, resourceful, and able to think and act promptly, all while most often
working alone
- Ability to cooperate/collaborate with laboratory personnel
- Good written and verbal skills and strong problem solving and prioritizing skills
- Ability and desire to cross-train into all service areas
- Ability to obtain MRWA Water Sampler Certification and re-certify every 3 years
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science or related science field a plus
