Job Description

Responsibilities:

Workday is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join a collaborative and growing team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, a great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-pace environment. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. Through the involvement in various operational activities and monthly close procedures, this position will play a pivotal role in the accounting processes.

• Manage monthly expense accrual calculations primarily relating to accruals for goods and services received but not invoiced

• Review and analyze lease contracts to determine the appropriate accounting treatment

• Responsible for coordinating, processing and analyzing lease transactions

• Compile and analyze information to prepare journal entries in compliance with GAAP

• Perform month-end ledger account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances in ledger accounts

• Process operational transactions with a high level of accuracy – including but not limited to bank reconciliation, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and leases

• Assist in balance sheet and income statement flux analysis in accordance with close timelines

• Support SOX compliance efforts and assist in improvement of control procedures

• Assist with audits, including preparing work papers for the auditors and analyzing data.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance

• Support month-end close processes

• Perform various ad hoc projects as requested

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or with an emphasis in accounting)
• Software/Tech and/or SaaS industry HIGHLY preferred

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience

Other qualifications:

• Public accounting

• Experience using large ERP system

• Strong understanding of accounting principles

• Proficiency with MS Excel

• Experience with tight deadlines and timeliness for work performed

• High attention to details and accuracy, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities

• Collaborative teammate to work with cross-functional teams

• Eagerness to learn and tackle challenges in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $45.00/hour-$53.00/hour
