Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Downey, California. This role involves ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of payroll systems while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to support system implementation and provide ongoing payroll system expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of a new Human Capital Management software system, ensuring smooth integration and functionality.
- Work closely with stakeholders from HR, IT, and finance departments to define payroll requirements and address system needs.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot payroll processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive data migration, validation, and reconciliation to ensure the integrity of payroll information.
- Create and deliver training materials for payroll staff and end-users to facilitate system adoption.
- Act as the primary liaison between the organization and software vendors to resolve system-related issues.
- Monitor compliance with payroll regulations, company policies, and reporting standards.
- Provide ongoing post-implementation support, including troubleshooting and system enhancements. Requirements - Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce.
- Strong experience in payroll processing and benefit administration, including 401(k) and RRSP plans.
- Familiarity with auditing and accounting functions related to payroll.
- Expertise in configuring and managing payroll systems to meet organizational needs.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training for end-users and payroll teams.
- Strong analytical skills to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
