POSITION SUMMARY:

Teton Ridge is seeking a Systems Administrator (IT) to support the growth of our digital, media, and broadcast operations. As the first dedicated IT hire reporting to the IT Director, this role will help shape the company’s internal technology infrastructure while building scalable systems that support high-performance media production, live events, and corporate operations.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone excited to dig into SaaS platforms, storage and network systems, and business-critical workflows. While basic user support may occasionally be needed—especially for complex media setups—the focus of this role is on systems configuration, optimization, and growth. Over time, this position will take on greater responsibility for backend infrastructure and broader technology strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Systems Configuration and Administration:

• Manage and optimize Google Workspace and Slack administration, including user roles, groups, access controls, and security settings.
• Support key SaaS platforms (e.g., project management, collaboration, CRM, media delivery tools) and help teams implement and adapt systems to their needs.
• Configure and maintain NAS and SAN environments used in media workflows—supporting performance, access management, and data retention needs.
• Monitor system health and availability, and support backups and uptime across critical infrastructure.

Custom and Specialized Systems Support:

• Provide technical assistance for high-performance editing systems and custom-built machines used in video production.
• Collaborate with the content, post-production, and event teams to ensure systems meet their unique performance and connectivity needs.
  Maintain documentation and processes for configuring or troubleshooting production-related gear.

Office and Infrastructure Buildouts:

• Assist with planning and deploying IT infrastructure for new office spaces or remote production setups.
• Support network hardware rollouts, including cabling, switching, Wi-Fi, and rack installation.
• Help implement and maintain AV, conferencing, and network systems to support in-office and hybrid work environments.

Cross-System Integration and Support:

• Serve as a key resource for integrating systems and streamlining processes across departments
• Help teams implement new tools or workflows, including user education and documentation
• Look for opportunities to reduce manual work through automation, integrations, and smarter system design

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with the IT Director and Technology Program Manager to shape how systems evolve alongside company growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across content, events, operations, and marketing to ensure technology supports their goals.
• Coordinate with vendors, developers, and platform partners to troubleshoot issues and roll out new solutions.

Path for Growth:

• As the company scales, this role will expand to take on increased ownership of backend infrastructure, identity and access management, and long-term systems architecture.
• The right candidate will grow into a strategic partner, helping define how technology supports creative, operational, and business priorities across the organization.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration or technical operations, preferably in media or startup environments.
• Strong familiarity with SaaS platform management (Google Workspace required; others like project management, identity, or creative platforms a plus).
• Experience configuring and maintaining shared/RAID storage systems (NAS/SAN) for media production.
• Solid understanding of identity and access management, MFA, and basic cybersecurity principles.
• Comfortable supporting high-performance editing systems (e.g., Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, custom builds)
• Bonus : Experience with IP-based video, remote production, or cloud-based media workflows.
• Bonus : Exposure to systems like Boostr, NetSuite, or asset management platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience).
