The position will coordinate the West Metro District Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) Traffic Safety Program by developing relationships, building organizational partnerships, encouraging participation and collaboration, planning events, developing, and sharing best practices, planning, and executing media outreach events, planning, implementing, and monitoring traffic safety projects and education programs so that traffic crashes resulting in serious injury or fatality are reduced within the region. Act as administrative coordinator for the regional TZD steering committee in their role of developing structure, strategy, initiatives, and in monitoring progress.

Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others, and moving and transporting light objects frequently. Even though the weights being moved and transported may be a negligible amount, a job in this category may require positioning self to move to a significant degree or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
