About The Role
We're looking for a dedicated professional to join our team in a role focused on new business commercial insurance. As part of our team, you'll provide exceptional service to our new business policyholders, who are referred to us by our internal group of producers.
You'll play a crucial role in helping our clients find the right level of protection through a variety of affordable commercial insurance products.
This position is fully remote, but we're currently considering candidates residing in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
Core Responsibilities
Quote and bind new business policies using multiple carrier rating platforms, and complete new business applications for the surplus lines market. Collaborate closely with producers and carrier underwriters to assess risks and determine pricing and product eligibility.
Provide exceptional customer service and timely follow-up by responding promptly to client calls and emails.
Assist in customer retention through regular contact and annual insurance policy reviews.
Proactively identify and process policy transactions, explaining any resulting impacts to customers.
Support policy billing, including invoicing and tracking agency-billed payments.
Manage your time effectively to ensure our department meets required service levels and improves customer satisfaction.
Cross-sell additional insurance solutions when appropriate.
Required Skills
A degree in a business-related field or a minimum of three years of experience in an independent agency environment focused on commercial lines.
Experience with excess and surplus lines.
Current and maintained insurance licenses.
Willingness to acquire a Massachusetts non-resident license if not already licensed in Massachusetts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage data from various sources effectively.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with the intricacies of Massachusetts commercial lines insurance.
Working knowledge of Agency Management Systems (QQ Catalyst experience is a plus).
Active P&C Insurance license in Massachusetts.
Familiarity with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) system.
Fluency in Spanish.
